Location

Driving routes available in Redcar and surrounding areas on a full-time or part-time basis.

Hours of work:

We offer a rotating 2-week working pattern, applicants must be flexible to work alternate weekends OR 1 day every weekend.

Home visits are delivered between 7am and 11pm and we are flexible to start and finish times with in these hours.

Night services are delivered between 9pm and 8am with flexibility on start and finish times.

Role Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity.

You will also support and mentor care staff, respond to day-to-day concerns, and assist with care planning and administration systems such as Care Planner and Birdie.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting with personal care, medication, meals, and daily living tasks
  • Promoting independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting care staff
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns
  • Following company policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards
  • Support training and development within the team
  • Help maintain high standards of care and compliance
  • Respond effectively to concerns and incidents to prevent escalation
  • Liaise with the Out-of-Hours team when required
  • Support care planning, scheduling, and administrative systems including One Touch Health
  • Maintain accurate and timely records
  • Report safeguarding or welfare concerns immediately
  • Attend supervision sessions, staff meetings, and training
  • Work in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Promote a safe working environment for colleagues and service users
  • Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times

Support will be provided to work towards a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification where required.
