Job Title: Senior Care Assistant
Location: Guisborough
Salary:£13.62 per hour. Bank Holidays are currently paid at double time, meaning as a Senior Care Assistant you could earn up to £27.24 per hour.

Responsibilities of a Senior Care Assistant:
· To support the Manager in all aspects of the homes management.
· To act as a Senior in charge, ensuring high standards of care to residents
· Be responsible for high standards of care through planning of and evaluation of care
· To be responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive the required care.
· To undertake care tasks and support the care team as required
· To be responsible for the receipt, handling, storing, issue, administration and disposal of all drugs and medicines in line with documented procedures, and to maintain all records
· Support with the induction and mentoring of new staff, ensuring all tasks are completed to the desired standard.
· To liaise with GPs & health and social care professionals.
· To monitor health changes and liaise with families and professionals.
· To act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident
· To monitor all resident’s nutritional and dietary requirements.

We offer full time contracts (37.62 hours per week) which provides a set two-week rolling rota, working 4 days on week 1 and 3 days on 2, meaning you work every other weekend with several days off in between.
